Our story​

 

Hello! I’m Amanda, the face behind Bonbon Parade. In 2017 I decided to combine my background in Art & Design with my passion for baking to create edible works of art. I have worked in numerous bakeries as a Cake Artist and hold a qualification in Patisserie & Confectionery. 

After being diagnosed with ‘Oral Allergy Syndrome’ a few years ago I decided to dedicate my time into researching recipes that cater to those with allergies and intolerances. I developed OAS when my hay fever heightened and caused severe allergic reactions to fruits and nuts. I’m also allergic to a number of other ingredients including soya.

I found having these new special dietary requirements sucked the joy out of eating so I wanted to create beautiful food for people that tasted delicious even if the ingredients were allergen friendly. 

 

There’s nothing worse than being at a birthday party and not being able to enjoy a slice of cake because EVERYONE DESERVES CAKE!

KIND WORDS

Amanda made my baby shower cake. It was fabulous – it looked great and tasted even better. I’m a pretty big fan of cake but it was on a different level. We loved it so much that Amanda also did our daughter’s Christening cake. Again, it was stunning. I was rather disappointed that all of it went on the day and I could relish the leftovers all to myself.
